I am the kind of person used to therapies since my early twenties and I have tried A LOT of them: psychoanalysis, behavioural theory,EMDR, hypnosis, shamanism, channelling, role plays, energy work, etc.
I thought, after all this work, that I already knew myself quite well and could not discover anything really transcendent about me (although I still have problems to manage my life).
Therefore, I went to the session without many hopes and expectations … just to see.
As I’m used to therapists, I usually manage quite quickly to detect their flaws or weaknesses (often revolving around inflated ego, lack of deepness and/or knowledge or just the inability or unwillingness to
deal with problematic patients…). But with Christine … none of that.
With her therapeutic, cultural, intellectual and spiritual baggage, along with a (very) rich life experience,
she is definitely equipped to sail on the high seas!
Like Morpheus in Matrix, Christine’s present is a red-pill. It’s up to us to take it or not:
‘This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill—the story ends, you
wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill—you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember: all I’m offering is the truth.
Nothing more.’
What you can expect, if you are the fortunate person who will go through this life-changing experience,
is to spend 4 days with a bright, warm, insightful, gifted, compassionate and very professional
therapist who will help you explore your psychological and energetic mechanisms until she finds the core of your problem. And she will for sure find it (!) thanks to a penetrating sense of observation, sharp analysis, careful attention to details, her commitment to her work and the intuitive gifts that make her go straight to the point (her ability to uncover subconscious patterns is quite puzzling…).
She does not compromise with the truth and will confront you with the false beliefs, self-defeating behaviors, painful emotions, illusions about yourself that hold you back from your authentic self.
The energy dimension of the work helps her reach layers of the being that traditional therapies
cannot attain.
What one discovers about him/herself can be challenging but as Carl Jung famously said:
“One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
This does not prevent the time spent together from being very pleasant as Christine’s humour, joyful and lively presence sweeten the hard work being done.
During the journey, she helped me face my emotional wounds, my darkness (or rather the darkness of my early life), become aware of the beliefs I created myself as survival mechanisms that have become
counterproductive.
Actually, I did fall deeply into the rabbit hole but isn’t it the condition to be able to heal, to direct one’s life instead of calling it a «fate» or a curse? After the work has been done, everything is in our hands. This is our decision to go for the change needed or not: this part of the travel belongs to us.
But I will for sure never forget the enlightening, fabulous, generous and gracious ferry woman (I would like to add “beautiful soul”) that guided me to this shore of my being where everything is again possible. It is
definitely worth the detour and I can only recommend the journey.
Thank you, dear Christine, for this invaluable travel to the core of my wounded heart.
